Art Requirements
Screen Printing & Most Promotional Products
Vector art is always preferred for custom-printed promotional items. Vector art is art that can be scaled and manipulated without difficulty. Vector art formats are files with the following extensions.:
.ai (Adobe Illustrator file)
.eps (Encapsulated Postscript)
.pdf (Portable Document Format)
.svg (Scalable Vector Graphics)
The following file types may be useable with minimal additional art charges:
Raster formats are accepted for custom-printed promotional items, but additional charges will apply to convert them into usable vector artwork. We request that the artwork be saved at at least 300 dpi.
The Following are Raster File Formats:
.bmp (Bitmap)
.jpg (Graphical Interchange)
.png (Portable Network)
.psd (Adobe Photoshop)
.tif (Tagged Image)
Embroidery
To embroider from artwork for custom-printed promotional products, all files must be digitized and the digitizing fee is $50 for most designs. Most art formats (JPEG, PDF, EPS, etc.) will work for digitizing and all art MUST be digitized (put in a format that gives our machines instructions for where to place each stitch) to be embroidered. If we do the digitizing for you on your custom-printed promotional items, we will send you a JPEG image proof of the design for your approval before embroidering your order. If you have previously had embroidery done and you like how it looks, we can use the digitized file used for the last job…it will be a file type .DST.
If you have designed your art in a program other than the ones listed above or have used one of our competitors’ design tools, we can generally work with that art. However, there will be art charges to get it into the format we need. In some cases, we will have to recreate the art…..but at least we know approximately what you are looking for.
**PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT MICROSOFT WORD DOCUMENTS AS ART FILES**
If your art is ready to go and/or you have questions about the art, please use the art upload tool on the Use the artwork Information tab to upload your artwork to us. Once we have your art, we will get started creating your custom-printed promotional products.
